We would just like to assure those who may be considering submitting grant applications to us that we are working as normal during the Coronavirus crisis in spring 2020. The trustees are in close touch with each other. Grant applications are being received and acknowledged as normal and will go to the next trustees meeting in late June/early July for decision. However, if you are applying for a responsive grant and it is difficult for your to submit an application by post, we are currently happy to accept applications by email – see details at the link.
The vast majority of our responsive grants are made on an unrestricted basis. So if you have received a responsive grant from us you are free to use it (within your charitable objects) in whatever way you feel is most appropriate at this time. Likewise with our planned grants. (Almost all our grants up to £1000 are responsive or planned grants).
In the case of our larger grants we are in touch with receipients in order to support changes to programes where needed.
Do get in touch by phone or email if you have queries, but the whole idea of an unrestricted grant is that you do not need permission from the funder or donor regarding how it is used.
