Paristamen to increase grantmaking for overseas development

The trustees have agreed that from the year 2022/23 The Paristamen Charity will seek to increase the level of our funding to support those in the world’s poorest countries.  This will be implemented in two ways:

  • we will increase the share of our Planned Grants allocated to international development – in particular we expect to add a third international development charity to the list of planned grant recipients from March 2023
  • we will now accept applications for Responsive Grants from charities working in the field of international development – provided all the other criteria for our responsive grants are met.  In particular – as with all requests for responsive grants – applications can only be made by charities based in the UK, and only from smaller charities up to £1M income.  In practice this means we will be focusing on specialist charities working overseas to address very specific issues, rather than large NGOs. However, we hope to support a number of specialist overseas development charities with responsive grants from this year.  Applications can be made at any time.
