In March 2023, The Paristamen Charity awarded a substantial ‘Blue Sky’ grant to the University of Glasgow Department of Theology for a project Christian Perspectives on Scotland’s Constitutional Future.
The aim was to bring together Christians on both sides of the debate about whether or not Scotland should seek independence. Major speakers in the project included four prominent Christian political thinkers including Kate Forbes MSP and Murdo Fraser MSP. Twelve events were then held at locations right across Scotland.
The final report of the project, entitled Discerning Scotland’s Future, has now been published – close to the 10th anniversary of the 2014 referendum. Full details are on our Blue Sky grants made page.
